Library Loan Information
Renewals
Renewals are now automatic, unless there is a hold on the item. All materials (except DVDs, & Museum Passes) may be renewed twice. An item on hold for another patron may not.
Library cardholders can renew their own materials online.
How to renew:
1. Click the Catalog button on the Menu or this “Log into My Account” link.
2. Click the link “Items currently checked out” and follow Renewal instructions.
Holds
Patrons may place holds on materials through the LION online catalog. Or Library staff can place holds. A staff member will phone patrons when materials come in to the Library for pickup. Emails are sent automatically.
Fines per Day
BML has eliminated fines except on materials from other libraries. Fees for lost/damaged items and for museum passes are exempted from this arrangement.
Museum passes: $10.00 per day
The total maximum fine balance allowed on any borrower’s card is $20.00. Failure to bring the fine down below this maximum or to pay for lost materials may result in restrictions on borrowing privileges, including access to online resources.
Please note that overdue notices and bills are sent automatically by the LION office.
